After being diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma in 2011 and an ongoing fight with stage 4, Eric felt compelled to address the lack of Melanoma education and awareness in his hometown. Over the last 9 years Eric developed deep ties in the Melanoma community and plans on leveraging this network as President of SFM. Eric believed his story, and others, should be shared to benefit others. Eric decided to pull from his network a group of people that shared the same passion to deemphasize ‘Stages’, and instead focus on service to others.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our beloved Eric earned his angel wings early on the morning of July 30, 2020 with family at his side. Please keep our family and friends close in your heart and prayers.
